PRAYAGRAJ: Police on Wednesday detained three persons for quizzing after the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report revealed that blood stains collected from the partially demolished office building, owned by slain gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed in Karbala area under the limits of Khuldabad police station in the city on Monday, were of a human being. All the three persons picked up by the police are drug addicts.DCP (Nagar) Deepak Bhuker told TOI, “The FSL report today (Wednesday) revealed the presence of human blood on floor, a broken window pane, a long cotton sheet resembling a saree and a knife which were found in the building on Monday.”“We are scanning some footage of CCTV sets installed at nearby buildings and streets thoroughly. It might be possible that someone, probably a drug addict, entered the house after breaking the window pane that left him injured. He then took a long sheet of cloth to wipe the wound and some drop of blood also fell on the floor of the building,” he added. As the partially demolished building was not in use since long, drug addicts might have entered it with an intention to steal household items or broken iron piece to arrange their drugs. The fact was that the household items kept inside the kitchen were also found scattered. Incidentally, there was no recovery of any dead or injured person or animal inside the building. In March, the same building was in news when Prayagraj police had seized Rs 72.37 lakh cash and a huge cache of weapons from the debris from there after ensuring the arrest of five key associates of Atiq following the killing of BSP MLA Raju Pal murder witness Umesh Pal and two of his police gunners. The don, his brother Ashraf, wife Shaista Parveen, son Asad and several others have been named in the Umesh Pal murder case.Lawyer Umesh Pal along with his two police gunners were shot dead by a group of miscreants outside his house at Sulemsarai locality under the limits of Dhoomanganj police station on February 24.Watch Blood stains, knife and more at Atiq Ahmed’s Office in Prayagraj; UP Police call forensics team to investigate
