Jalebi Rocks is a Gujarati family film that thoughtfully addresses the topic of menopause. It follows the journey of Vidya Pathak, a 48-year-old housewife, and beautifully celebrates resilience, self-worth, and the indomitable spirit of a woman. A heartwarming story of late blooming and personal achievement, the film is a reminder that it’s never too late to chase your dreams.
Writer-director Chinmay Purohit says, “This is India’s first movie about menopause — a topic that’s often ignored and not well understood. It explores something new in a way that people of all ages can relate to. The audience response after the release has been amazing, and because of that, we’ve increased the number of screens across India.”
Vandana Pathak adds, “Shooting this film was a deeply personal journey for me. There were many moments where I drew from my own experiences, which made the character feel real and raw.
