Mumbai, 11th July 2025* : Filmfare celebrated a decade of cinematic excellence with the 10th edition of the Filmfare Awards Marathi, held on July 10, 2025, at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai. Presented by The Times Group, this milestone event marked ten glorious years of honouring the finest talents in Marathi cinema. The star-studded evening was a spectacular celebration of artistic brilliance, vibrant entertainment, and unforgettable moments that reflected the pride and passion of Marathi film industry.
The awards honoured outstanding achievements in Marathi cinema, celebrating films released between January 1 and December 31, 2024. The evening witnessed some of the year’s most anticipated wins. Phullwanti led the night with an impressive seven awards, followed closely by Paani, which secured six honours. Mahesh Manjrekar bagged the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) for Juna Furniture, while Prajaktta Mali (Phullwanti) and Vaidehi Parshurami (Ek Don Teen Chaar) jointly took home the coveted Black Lady for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female). Addinath M Kothare was honoured with Best Director for Paani, while Jitendra Joshi received the Best Actor (Critics) award for Ghaath. Rajshri Deshpande was recognized as Best Actress (Critics) for Satyashodhak.
The evening also paid tribute to musical excellence, with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award presented to the legendary Usha Mangeshkar for her remarkable and enduring contribution to the music industry. While receiving the honour, she said, “I would like to thank the people who chose to give me this award. And to everyone else receiving awards tonight, many congratulations.” When Sachin Pilgaonkar, who presented the honour to her, asked in a fun banter why did she choose to only present one talent of hers which is singing and kept the other talent – painting, hidden. She added that those paintings were only for herself, and she later made a book out of it for herself and her closed ones. Adding on, Dr. Jabbar Patel also informed the audience that she was once a producer.
The audience were thrilled with a surprise appearance by Sanju Rathod, who gave a high-octane impromptu performance of his hit track ‘Shaky Shaky’, joined by Amruta Khanvilkar, Priya Bapat, Mitali Mayker, Prajaktta Mali, Varsha Usgaonkar, Saie Tamhankar and others which left the audience spellbound. Adding to the energy, DJ Kratex and Shreyas ignited the stage with their viral sensation ‘Tambdi Chambdi’, as Bhushan Pradhan, Addinath Kothare, Sandeep Pathak, Hemant Dhome, Kshitij Date lit up the dance floor with their electrifying moves—capturing the vibrant spirit and infectious energy of the celebration.
Hosted by Siddharth Chandekar and Amey Wagh, the evening unfolded with the perfect blend of humour, heartfelt tributes, and surprise performances. The red carpet dazzled with a stunning showcase of traditional elegance and modern flair, as celebrities arrived in their most stylish ensembles. Show-stopping appearances by Rajkummar Rao, Tabu, Amruta Khanvilkar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Jaideep Ahlawat, Saie Tamhankar, amongst others, making it an unforgettable night for fans and photographers alike.
